If you could be anyone in a fictitious creation

When I say 'fictitious creation' I mean anything from a book of fiction to a movie, pc game, show (yes anime too), etc.

I constantly find myself asking this question for some odd reason (strange I know) but I always have to remember to take into account what happens to who I'd want to be and the life they would live after what you see (unless they die).

You don't necessarily have to be one of the main characters or anything. You could just be 'a guy in the army' that serves under so and so or anyone else that may play a role that you don't hear much about but is involved.

Honestly as of right now I don't know who I'd want to be. The nerdy side of me says I'd want to be someone on the dark side in Star Wars (or maybe Jango Fett), but I'd also like to be involved in a war scenario like something you would see in Dawn of War for the computer. To me, spawning from a chaos lord into a bloodthirster would be the bees knees...but in that scenario I'd kinda die (which sucks).

Overall, I think it's something neat to think about, and this also proved a good way to waste time at 1:45 in the morning.

Edit: Ok, since apparently people want to be Jesus and any one of the numerous gods out there, how about we say it can't be a deity of any sorts.

Edit 2: OooOo, I just remembered Jin from Samurai Champloo and Saito from GITS.:Q

That didn't take very long.

There are so many choices. I would have to think for a long while. First thoughts? Rotor from SatAM and Matrix from Reboot. But seriously, so many choices.

I've always loved Sherlock Holmes. Couldn't believe someone already said it, lol.

Other fictional characters I'd like to be:

Smuggler in the Star Wars Universe
Assassin in the medieval times (or a world like Oblivion)
Innkeeper in the same times
Roman Upper Class
Modern day hitman (Agent 47 style)

When I was younger I was really enamored of the characteristics of the Daredevil from the Marvel Comics. I don't really know why, I just thought it was really cool to have all those super-sensitive senses and acrobatic agility.

Then they made that sh1thouse movie starring Ben Affleck... it broke my heart... :(

So despite the Affleck-tion done unto my favorite comic book superhero, I'd still say the Daredevil.

same here. Although, specifically I'd enjoy the time period of him being the Director of Team Rainbow. :) Him or Ding Chavez

I was going to say Luther of Gladstone, but I forgot how EA butchered him and his universe with the third Lands of Lore game. In that case, I'd pick Toby Atanwe from Deus Ex.

Goku... i think he represents all the things i'd want to be. Immensely powerful, determined, driven, heart of gold, easy to befriend, always looking for the good in people, and always striving to better his self.

I'd like to be a Lazarus Long, the character from Heinlein's novels. He lives forever, does whatever he wants, and hangs out with lots of beautiful naked women.

James Bond. He gets the bitches, the cars, and blows shit up!

Exactly, seems like a no brainer to me.

I'd rather be Jason Bourne. He can actually kickass in hand to hand combat, and he doesn't need to rely on all the gadgets. Plus, he's not pretentious ('shaken, not stirred'... pleeease, any real martini connoisseur knows you never shake it), or a chauvinist, and in fact is monogamist to a fault (even to his dead gf).
