But, I agree with you. They messed up their lives by not doing well in school and making something of their life. However, at the same time, society needs poor people with no skills. Who else is gonna support the people who actually made something of their life? Somebody has to cook my cheeseburger and wash my car.

New Orleans has one of the highest crime ratings in the United States. The city is currently being over-run by gangs and looters. Some guy took control of a backhoe and is ramming it against houses. Some people are afraid to come out of their house in fear of being killed, mugged or carjacked.

When a military helicopter tried to land on a helipad, they heard shots and saw people on the helipad with guns and weapons. They were planning on hi-jacking the helicopter. It's like they don't want help.

New Orleans is such a great city. :roll:

Actually, you are not giving blood to those folks in NO. What you are making up for is all the folks in those areas (LA, AL, MS) that cannot give blood now. That is the real need, to make up for the missing supply.
