If you cancel your WoW account and want it back, what do you do?

Is it possible to retrieve old characters, or will we have to start from scratch again?

Just wondering. Guild Wars is fun, but not the same.

Nope, you can just reactivate your account and your characters will be there. I'm sure they have some claus in their EULA that allows them to delete it after a certain amount of time, but the only game i've ever been in that actually did delete characters was FFXI (aside from deleting level 1 characters)

They don't delete characters. Just go to worldofwarcraft.com, and input your credit card info again. Your character is ready for you to resume. I've canceled and resigned back up before with no problems. Now if there is a time limit on how long your character is saved, I'm not sure.
