Hey guys

I know this probably has been posted a million times, but i have some crazy eye strain going on and i can't really sit ont he computer right now...

i have a fc-pga PIII 700e cb0 processor.

i want to overclock it.


What is the best fan/heatsink to get for it? And where can i get it?

alpha hs/f's are reletively expensive. but i still suggest a alpha pal6035. if you can fit it, or don't mind doing some light modding, then you might want to try the alpha pep66. the globalwin fop/wbk's are good performance per dollar, but are only really good with the black label delta, which are as loud as hell.

Truth is that you may not need anything more than the stock Intel HSF. Dial in 133fsb in the bios, see what happens. P3's just don't put out the heat like Tbirds, about the only way to fry one with the stock hsf attached is to use too much voltage. Don't add more than .2v above stock even with a performance HSF. Remember overclocking is always at your own risk.

An alpha 6035 with Sunon fan is probably the best compromise of size, noise, price and performance. Anything that works better is bigger, noisier, more expensive or some combination of those. Which means it may not suit your board, your pocketbook, or your eardrums.
