If you are born halfway through the 80's are you an 80s kid or 90s kid?

Either. It depends on whether you think early childhood, or your teenage years are more formative. "Era cultures" don't track exactly with chronology. 80s culture continued until 92 or 93 by my estimation.

82 here, but feel more like a 90s kid since that's when most of my memories are from.

I was born in '83, I consider myself a 90s kid. I didn't really get exposed to much in the way of pop culture until 1989, and I wouldn't say that one year early in my development is more central to my childhood than the next decade which really made me who I am.

'80. feel more like a 90's kid. My parents were very religious and sheltered me too much. No real exposure to any outside religion till mid-90's.

I was born mid-80s. Thank god I didn't grow up (consciously) during the 80s. What an effing nightmare.

If you remember disco and all that you are a 70's kid
If you had parachute pants and thriller and all that you might still be a 70's kid though.

80's and 90's are probably differentiated in much the same way. Pokemon vs power rangers and tickle me elmo and whatever else was going on then for kids.

I was born in mid/late 70s and think of myself as an 80s kid. I think similar logic would apply for people born mid/late 80s as it relates to being a 90s kid.

I think one way to know if you're an 80s kid is to watch Super 8 or ET. If you relate then you'll know.

I was born in 1960, and am a child of the 60's. I "remember" JFK's assasination (probably from the endless coverage), but RFK and MLK assasinations had a huge impact on me. The summer of love, Jimi Hendrix and flower power. Crazy times.....

its whatever you grew up in, had fun in, remember most when you think back. Most kids lives are from 8-17 so born in 85 would usually make you a 90's kid. 75 would be 80's 95 = 2000's etc
