Some will surrender, some will fight. There will be casualties on both sides but remember the war may not have a definitive conclusion if it causes regional instability like some predict and/or increased terrorism.

It could be the beginning of another arab-Israeli type conflict that will never end depending on the composition and behavior of the installed puppet government.
 
I think that Saddam will be assassinated by one of his own this time and then they will announce it and everyone will stop fighting.
 
There are reports that there are parts of the Iraqi army that are ready to surrender. Same reports say that the US has been negotiating with Generals for their surrender. The US has been dropping pamphlets informing the soldiers that if they do not move to stop the US forces, they will not be attacked. The Republican Guard is the only force that will fight to protect the Saddam.

They'll likely try to surrender, but could wind up like those that tried the same thing during the last Gulf War...dead, or not dead, just buried alive.

The "war" will likely begin after the US is in control.

 
ahh they already started to surrender

we kicked the crap out of them in the last war, they will be too scared to fight. Those that do fight will only fight because the fear of getting shot by their commanders--like the Russians during WWII
