I'm sure they'd like to keep it as secret as possible but the media really likes digging and spying...

Bush is an alright guy. Its Rumsfeld that the warmonger. Few general ideas of the campaign are being kept secret for obvious reasons.

btw - Your link is a repost.

Blame the media 100%. They have no integrity anymore (did they ever have any to begin with), and could care less about lives when compared with profit.

Probably because it's not true...

Or the government intentionally let this out to scare the sh!t out of Iraq, so they would let the arms inspectors in NOW...

Three reasons:
1. It was a slow newsday and they made it up (the media).
2. Sabre rattling.
3. Someone was given a tasker and it somehow leaked. Example tasker: Give us a detailed plan starting today on how to get ready to invade Iraq starting on Jan 15 2003. In other words how do we get from Point A (today) to Point B (invasion). Completely hypothetical yet gets the same reaction as when in Jan. everybody was all upset because it was reported that we actually have plans on how to use our nuclear weapons. Remember that?

yeah, it could be to rattle saddam's cage so he might change his mind seeing what happened to the taliban, (but he wont)

so we tell 'em we're gonna attack in 2003, but instead we start fall 2002. in september

if we hit we will hit MUCH sooner. They probably want to mis-inform IRAQ more than the American people. But they know that Sadam watches all American news networks so ...

<< Has anybody ever heard of misdirection? >>

Exactly. I take pity of any of you that actually believe that this was an unintentional leak.

Misdirection, and in any case, we like keeping Iraq nervous. Even if we sent no one in, the psychological pressure is wearing.

nothing this administration does is "accidental" remember george junior is third generation skull and bones...
besides, i think the hope is that the iraqi "people" will rise up against him, so i suspect that this is in part to embolden internal resistance, and encourage some one internally to turn against him and off him for us. besides, you think if we start to invade iraqi its going to be s secret from anyone?

Exactly, especially with estimates of 1/4 million troops on the ground. I mean, thats a fairly large buildup.
