If we found out aliens sorta like us existed would your life change?

I've always held out hope that it would unite us - and hopefully not out of fear. Just with the mere fact that our petty BS is so unimportant considering the magnitude of what that discovery would mean. Space race baby.

yllus all i want for christmas is to know if they are out there and to go visit them. But i don't think that will ever happen.

 
all it will do is make us come up with new ways to kill people. We'll go to space and have the same probs we always have. If we can't straighten it out ourselves, we never will.
 
Of course my life would change. When the entire population of planet Earth goes to war with "others" from "out there" everybody's life would change. Do you really believe that the encounter would be peaceful?

Yep which means dinosaurs too sorta. Who knows dinosaurs could be on another planet still and that could be one of the other life out there still.
 
As long as they don't look like the Horta I won't mind. A creature that looks like a moving Totinos sausage pizza and can be healed with spackle just isn't right.
