if u have a dead liteon cdrw or dvd drive, i know how to save it

mtkflash 1 w /b name.bin

mtkflash.exe = executable
1= primary master
w = write
/b = bin file
name.bin = is the firmware bin file

My liteon CDRW died once. I took it out and let it sit on my desk for 2 weeks. When I decided it was time to open it up and fiddle with it, I stuck it back in first to see what would happen and it worked. Been fine since.

There, now you don't have to post your secret revive spell.

this is only a fix for a bad flash?

Not a fix for the drive blinking green while cds are in...but not playing them...?

u can try, it doesnt hurt, but i recommed flash it to a old firmware or new one, dont try the same one

when my DVD drive is doing the blinking light and not playing thing, i've found it's almost always a dirty lens. a quick pass with a CD drive cleaner disk, and it's good to go for another round of dirty DVD rentals.

I think I've tried that before, I'll try it again though
