This van kicks ass. I knew a few people with vans like that back in the day. :)

The heart motif is a little fruity, though.

Just the sort of van I pictured when I entered my "custom van" answer in the, "If you were super rich, what car would you ride around in," thread.

Oh yeah!

I wonder what kind of millage it gets?

Probably about 9-11 mpg.
try less.

It has what appears to be a 318 or 360 2bbl.

In a van that heavy, you're looking at 5 - 8 mpg.

I have a high-roof B2500, pretty hefty vehicle, and it usually runs 10-13mpg. I wouldn't think there'd be that much difference.

we are talking 1979 here.

I have a 1979 Lebaron 318 auto. It gets maybe 17 mpg stock. It weighs 3400 lbs. and has a 2.45:1 gear ratio. That van weighs around 5000 lbs and probably has a 3.21:1 gear ratio.

Good mileage is not that van's purpose.

I could be wrong, but all those mods are going to just add more weight to an already heavy van.

If you had that van, there's an excellent chance it would never be rockin'.

I used to have a slicked out Chevy van back in the day. We didn't care about stinkin gas mileage back then. Not much driving goin on anyways, just a whole lot of smokin, tokin, drinking and luvin. I used to love taking my babes to drive in movies.

Whoa... that van is like a timewarp.

Bonus points for being the extended model.

WTH.... am I seeing that right?

Besides that I don't know why I am not currently buying this.

What's the problem? Yes, on vans like that, the big hump between the front seats is the engine cover.

That's the engine with the cover removed so you can see it.

And it is a 318.

I guess I could have explained it better.
