Guys, by the picture, this thing looks a little small to me to be a router that can support 32 users.

Can someone help clarify for me?

What us probably meant is that the router has one physical port but if you add more ports (through a switch or hub) you can have up to 32 using the router...

That is not a router. That is a cable modem. This is the unit your cable provider will give you (or you can buy instead of "renting" one from them) to hookup to your cable line and get Cable Internet.

It would be a interesting concept though to have the cable modem and router built into one.. I'm sure the cable companies would drag out the Execs at Motorola and hang them up by their ties. With all the cable ISP's starting to monitor how many users are on one of their connections to have the modem itself share for other people would be pretty unbelievable.

I read the description though so I'm not sure about this one.. nowhere does it say it is a cable modem router or that it can share the connection through a hub... let us know what happens with this one.

EDIT:
Ok, I read the FAQ. THIS IS NOT A ROUTER IN ANY WAY SHAPE OR FORM Its just a Cable modem. If you want to pay your ISP an extra $5 a month for extra IP's this cable modem will support it but it doesn't share like a router does. Go buy a cheap 4 port router, it's well worth the extra cash. It will provide you with a firewall and more configuration than you'd be able to get with one of these and some extra IP's.
