Does anybody know of an External Temp Monitor that reads the temperatures from the hardware , ie CPU/North-South Bridge/Graphics Card etc ? .

By External Temp Monitor i mean a monitor that fits into a drive bay with an LCD read out .

There are loads of these that use temp prodes but the read outs are fairly inaccurate due to not being able to place the probes close enough to the hottest part of the hardware is ,ie GPU .

Just wondering if there is an external temp monitor that reads directly from
the BIOS ?

If theres no such thing there should be !!!!!!

Asus ROG boards have a thingy called LCD Poster that among other things displays temperatures. Not meant to be installed into a drive bay, however.

I think with the new Asus boards that come with Bluetooth, you can use your smart phone to monitor and OC.

on board diodes do not tell temperature.

they tell you more preciesly tjunction points.

If you really must have a extra LCD then this is your only solution:

Samsung U70: On ebay they average 95-110 dollars.

Its a USB 7 Inch LCD, you can port as a secondary monitor..
And then Run a program called HWINFO and move it to that USB screen:
