there is a splinter cell movie in the works as they have a little teaser for it in the menu of the recent splinter cell game.
As far as actor goes...how about Kiefer Sutherland? When I watch 24, I often think of splinter cell.

Clooney is too much of a "I'm a cool guy" actor to play the badass that is Sam Fisher.

I'm trying to think of someone that could play it but can't think of anyone.
 
I'm so used to hearing Michael Ironside as the voice of Sam.. too bad Ironside is up there in age or else I would just say use him as Sam.
 
Well seeing as how he is a super secret op, they should make the movie and never show his face, that Way Michael Ironside can still do his voice. That would be an interesting movie Just make sure his face is conceled by shadows or objects all the time so you can't see it all at once.
