of universes and I exist in a slightly different reality in each of them, then in some universe I am super rich and date supermodels.

So, basically, the greatest invention ever would be a device with which I could exchange myself with the universe of my choice?

Actually this doesn't follow. Believe it or not, it's possible to have an infinite number of versions of you with none of them dating supermodels, the same way it is possible to have an infinite number of integers, none of which are odd.

Sorry to rain on that parade. :biggrin:

Or you could be even more retarded and this life is the best possible universe out of all your options

in between these universes is a space called the Void. Nothing exists in the void. Not light, gravity or time. Just complete nothingness.

Even infinity has its limitations... otherwise you could say in one of them, you exist as a rock that can turn into a unicorn that can swim in lava. Even more ridiculous is that you are rich and date supermodels.

Do the multiuniverse theory say if the same laws of physics apply between universes? I would think the differences would only be seen in the quantum level. Whenever there was a probability for something to happen the universes would split. Things like flipping a coin wouldn't be one of those since that's is just governed by physics.

In this alternate Universe, is this so-called supermodel named Rosie O'Donnell?

Probably an Opposite Universe where "Rich" means living in a cardboard box and a "Super Model" has a mustache and half her teeth missing.

Yeah, Ok. Just don't try and convince me there's a universe where the Cubs have won 27 World Series.

The set {1, 3, 5, 7, 9, ... } is an infinite set containing only odd integers.

You can prove it is infinite because you can map the set of Integers {0, 1, 2, 3, ... } to it.

n -> 2n + 1

For each integer, there is a unique corresponding odd integer. Therefore, the set of integers and the set of odd integers are the same size. Therefore the set of odd integers is infinite.

No. Its infinite only because we could never quantify it - every choice ever made would just spawn more universes.

So in your case, no matter how many universes there will ever be, you'll never be super rich and date supermodels.
