car comes stock with 205/55/15 tires and I got new tires. Shop didn't have 205/55/15 so I went with falken ze912 205/60/15. Recommended max PSI on the door jam says 35psi for 205/55/15. Considering I have more sidewall with 205/60/15 how much can I increase the psi?
Reason i ask is because I used to ride at 30psi for a softer ride but when gas started going up I went with 35psi and I noticed a significant gain in mpg and my tires didn't wear out as fast. Now I try to set the tires towards the upper psi range for maximum mpg. BTW the max psi on the falkens are about 50psi but that is over the top and I would think it would be very bad for my shocks and struts.
