I wouldn't be surprised at this point.

We already know they talk to each other. Plants will pass along warning of impending assault by pests, so others can prepare. Trees communicate a need of carbon and nitrogen to each other, evergreens and hardwoods lending each other a hand depending on season. When times are lean, they favor giving assistance to their own species, not unlike mammals.

Plants are fungi are so amazing. What parasitic fungi can do to insects alone is absolutely mind blowing.

Also dont anthropomorphize plants. They're stupider than the utterly stupid super complex insects.

Who said they are smarter than insects? Avatar makes me think you identify as a christian, which if true would make your direction 'not to anthropomorphize' kind of hilarious.

"Anthropomorphizing" carries the connotation that humans are the best, and it's some kind of compliment to bestow that "honor" on other beings. That's about the ultimate in hubris. Other animals and plants can do somewhat human-like things, cause surprise! They're entities that have to live in this world too, and have to adapt to various conditions just like everyone else. Humans aren't any special 'creation'. We started as a lump of shit like everything, and just happened to evolve some unique traits. Unique like everyone else...
