If the "Best by:" date on my ramen is 10/23/04, can I still eat it?

$0.17? Where do you shop? Here Ramen costs $0.10. And yes, "Best by" means very little. Eat it.

I have posted ~5 "Should I eat it" threads and everyone tells me that I shouldn't, but I have everytime... and I am still alive. I just think back to people ~100 years ago. They ate stuff that was like weeks old, without refrigeration and they survived... sometimes. :)

Only Ramen and cockroaches will survive the coming nuclear holocaust. If you don't eat it the cockroaches will.

Eat it, my brother in the military ate an old K-ration from WWII that was sealed and presearved as a demonstration. For those that don't know a K-ration was your grandpa's version of an MRE. All that aside, go on and eat it. A best by date means it wont spoil, but I just won't tase very fresh after that date. A sell by date is differant, most items (except milk and unsealed cheese) can be eaten a few days after the date passes (3 days).
