Of course, the BCS rankings aren't going to be released until October 14, but it's fun to talk about anyway.

Right now, only 4 of the 6 computers are releasing results. Billingsley and Sagarin are still using some results from last year, while Colley and Massey are wildly inaccurate. The Harris Poll, isn't out yet, so I'm using the AP poll, which isn't really that different.

BCS top 25:
1 LSU
2 Southern California
3 Texas
4 Oklahoma
5 Wisconsin
6 Florida
7 West Virginia
8 California
9 UCLA
10 Ohio State
11 Louisville
12 Penn State
13 Rutgers
14 Georgia Tech
15 Nebraska
16 South Carolina
17 Clemson
18 Virginia Tech
19 South Florida
20 Arkansas
21 Oregon
22 Boston College
23 Missouri
24 Texas Tech
25 Michigan St

LSU is #1 in 3 of the 4 computers, while USC leads both human polls. UCLA is 3rd in the computers, despite being 11th for the humans. South Florida is 5th in the computers, despite being outside the top 25 for the humans. USC is 37th in the computers despite being #1 for the humans.

Here is the complete computer top 10:
1 LSU
2 Texas
3 UCLA
4 Wisconsin
5 South Florida
6 Clemson
7 Penn State
8 Rutgers
9 Texas Tech
10 Georgia Tech

just by the games seen so far lsu looks pretty good, I would be fine with them being #1

Texas Tech?!? victories over SMU and UTEP were that impressive to put them in the top 10?

With only 2 games played, The BCS SOS algorithm is useless. Regardless, Kentucky is projected to be #1, LSU #2. Washington is #8.

To show how meaningless the SOS is after 2 games, the best team in SOS have played teams that won their other game, and the opponents of those teams would have also won their other game. 7 teams meet that criteria (Stanford, UCLA, LSU, Texas, Missouri, South Florida, and Arkansas State)

Any other projections are purely subjective.

Your summary is wrong. Clemson and Georgia Tech are ACC.

I had two different ranking methods in my OP, I've tried to make it a little more clear now. Georgia Tech and Clemson are 14th and 17th in the BCS rankings, but both in the top 10 of the computer rankings.

Georgia Tech has looked really good, and I have them in my top 10. If they keep playing well, they'll crack the BCS top 10 before long.

If only they'd have used Taylor Bennett last year instead of Reggie Ball. His only start was in the bowl game vs. WVU and that was an amazing and close game. Imagine him with a full year in him.
