If someone created little tiny robots that would dust for you they would be rich

lol.... does a roomba count? it sweeps my dog hair, and also drives my dog crazy to the point where she wants to destroy it.

Your probably gonna laugh at me but i did something like this:

It basically catches the dust before it gets on my equipment that i do not want to dust frequently....
But i am still forced to replace that filter every 2 months or so, or the dust manages to get though the gaps when the filter gets clogged.

Basically its a cheapo 20inch box fan, with a cheap 20x20 MERV 3 filter.

The part I don't like is the dusting around or under things on shelves. I do it but probably not as much as I should. Thankfully we tend towards minimalist so I can only imaging the hell this causes for people with a ton of tchotchkeys - either from never dusting or having to move everything

I have the Shark version (iQ with the dust bin base), plus a Braava wet mop robot. The Shark runs a few times a week, and the Braava runs once a week. Keeps the floors amazing clean. We have all hardwood and laminate floors though, so carpeted floors may have different results. It's fascinating to sit and watch them figure out corners and obstacles :)

I have to clean mine about every 3 uses because it gets clogged with dog hair (we have a fine haired Australian Shep mix and her hair gets EVERYWHERE). Other than that it seems to clean better than the iRobot solution that's 2x the price. I heard Shark got sued because they made their unit a bit too good :D

Ya, got mine just a couple months ago and my Mom liked it so much she got one too. She also lucked out with a 50% Off Sale to boot....which is a little bit annoying, lol.

The idea of a cleaning robot has kinda crossed my mind, but it would be tricky to do well. I'm thinking a RC robot with a camera and articulating arm that can do various cleaning tasks like dusting, and it could also vacuum. I could then clean the house from work during downtime. :D

My cat pukes a lot, so a roomba would be a bad idea. I would get home and it would have smeared puke all over the place.

Speaking of clogging vacuums with hair, if you have long hair like me check the power nozzle once in a while.
