Is it possible to not want a girlfriend at this age?
 
WTF is wrong with you...😕 But here's my attempt at answering your questions...

1. Ask them.

2. Sure, you can be playing the field at any age.
 
I don't want one right now. I just got out of one, and I have a few potentials, but after the last one I want to be single for a while, just picking up girls and having fun.

Plus school starts in a bit, and I really have to stay on the ball (Chem E.) or I'm gonna fail for sure.

But yea, it's entirely possible.

edit: I am 19, have had 2-3 serious ones, and quite a few non-serious ones. 😉
 
Well if you're just going off to college you might not want one. Or if you're really driven to graduate early with a triple major you might not be able to fit in a meaningful relationship.

I have a girlfriend but these seem to be legit possibilities

Not wanting and not actively looking are two different things...

But I'm slightly outside of your age range...and sorta have a girlfriend...
 
Some people don't want one until they're truly serious. Many of those people feel they won't be serious until they are financially set off on the right foot.
 
I'm 22 and haven't had a g/f since 18. I enjoy every minute of not being tied down. Being young and having fun is what it's all about, leave commitment for after school, and finding a job.

I'm 19, and I don't have a GF at the moment. This one girl wants me BAAD, but tbh, I'm not looking for anything serious right now. I don't have the time to put into a serious relationship. I'm going to school, and have a job.

I told this girl I'm looking for a "fun relationship" and "nothing serious". Meaning, I'd like to fool around, but I don't want commitment, and thats pretty much how I feel right now. So I suppose it is possible to not want a relationship during that age.
 
I'm 19 and after seeing my friends in college with GFs, I would never want to deal with the hassle. I'll wait until I'm out of college/senior year to try anything serious.
Hooking up with girls and then "accidentally" giving them the wrong phone number though - that's just hilarious. Twice so far I've given out 867-5309 and not gotten caught.
 
It is possible to not want a girlfriend at this age. For instance I know someone that went through B.S.ChE simultaneously with BS Biology, then now straight to phD Nanomaterials. This gives not much time for a girlfriend. Girls require time, and time is not something my friend has much of.

🙂 I was there once... everyone has it once. The best part is after it, because you have more experience from it, and you're not wasting your life away with someone that can't make ya happy. 😀
 
Or you don't want to have to deal with the nightly calls and all the girls who like you are weird stalkers so you're content to just mess around with them for now...

Never had a girlfriend. Been interested in a few girls, and have had a few (exactly 3) interested in me, but..well you know, just friends, feeling is not mutual that way, yadda yadda.. (I'm 19)

So I do want a girlfriend, but I'm picky. Perhaps your friend is like that too.
 
I'm single because I choose to be. I want to have as much fun as I can what's left of my senior year.
