If Pope Francis dies, we're all screwed -> Prophecy

2014 is shaping up to be one hella of a year for omens.

4 blood moons this year (Red moons). this hasn't happened since last century, I think.

a Pope steps down from office. that hasn't happened since the Crusades. He usually dies in office.

Now we have 2 living Popes.
If Pope Francis dies this year, then it'll be a 3Pope year. (Pope Francis is old.)

A winter Vortex during the summer plus other unusual natural phenominon.
Plus a plane goes missing ala LOST.

There has to be a Prophecy for this.

Anyone who thinks all human actions can be described logically is silly.

Humans are not always logical, I agree. However, certain things are less logical than others and we have already shed ourselves of many "Omens" and the like already. It just takes Knowledge to put these kinds of foolishness behind us.

IOWs, "Omens" are not Things. They are merely superstitions that some Believe and those are the factors that cause people to do Irrational things based upon what, especially in this case, are Coincidences.

You know we're in trouble when the head of the IMF starts talking about numerology.

Of course, there's a very good chance she's just trying to stay positive, like someone praying in a hospital. Yeah your brain cancer is going to kill you, but let's just pretend for a second that you'll be ok.

The ultimate bad omen is CNBC saying everything is ok. That's called a contrarian indicator. These are the same people who didn't see the dot come bubble, the same people who didn't see the real estate bubble, and now they can't see the largest bond bubble in history. Junk bonds paying only 6% interest? Yeah, that's totally normal. Idiots.

It is foolish to argue semantics when it signifies nothing. To the people affected, omens are every bit as real as the nose on your face. You are silly to ignore factors because you deem them superstition.

What? Hey, to me Hobbits are every bit as real as the nose on _your_ face. So next time you go outside watch out for the hobbits. They're everywhere.
