I want to get this card

So I can run a firewire audio interface on my PC

My question is, since my motherboard has two PCI-X16 ports but doesnt do both at X16 at the same time does that mean there is a chance the GTX970 plugged into my main PCI x16 port will have reduced bandwidth if I do plug that Firewire card into the remaining X16 slot on my motherboard?

There is also an dedicated PCI-e X1 slot located above the GPU which would probably be ideal to use but I'm not sure if there is actually room for the card there...

1. In single VGA card mode, it is recommended to install a PCI Express
x16 graphics card on PCIE2 slot.
2. In CrossFireXTM mode, please install the PCI Express x16 graphics
cards on PCIE2 and PCIE3 slots. Therefore, PCIE2 will work at x16
bandwidth, while PCIE3 works at x4 bandwidth.

Looks like it's PCIE3 that loses bandwidth, so your 970 will be OK.
