... what kind of matter is that energy converted into? Carbon? Nitrogen? Oxygen? And I don't mean "tee hee hee Salty, plants in general breath in carbon dioxide and spit out oxygen", I'm talking about the scientific fact proven by Einstein that E=MC^2, so if plants are taking in energy (E), they best producing some mass (M). Unless they are using 100% of that energy themselves I would suppose, but don't think that would work long term given that predators get to feed off plants but plants still grow and thrive, so some free mass there coming from energy. So I think they are converting energy to mass, but what mass?
