If one adult 'bets' another adult to do something. . .

episodic

Lifer
something rather stupid, say jump off of a 20 foot tall building, and the other adult does it - should the one that bet the other be culpable in any sort of way?

I'm talking about two adults and neither have any intelligence problems.

What do you think?

If the bet is simply, say, "I'll give you 20 bucks to do <insert illegal activity>" then the better has no legal obligations other then to pay.

However, if the better says "jump of this building or I'll show everyone the nekkid pics of you and the horse" then thats a whole different ballgame.

Topic Title: If one adult 'bets' another adult to do something. . .

no sir.

no it does not. -edit- I'm agreeing with wtfferzerker...

If you shake on a bet between men, then it is indeed a bet...no matter what. Normally accompanied during the shake as "this is a bet"

If you shake on a bet with a woman it is implied that if she tries to welch on the money, sex shall be the payment.

Are you talking about that waffle house employee?

So far as I know, the law will not uphold a contract if it is illegal.
I don't know if jumping off a building is illegal, so in this particular instance I'll go with my gut.
If it's considered a suicidal act then the answer is definately no.
I don't think 20 feet is suicidal.
If the bet is to jump off head first, then the answer is definately no.

Well then, the bet damn well better be in the kitchen because they better not leave the kitchen unless the laundry machine is in the basement. It violates the code of woman to stop cooking dinner or cleaning, so there shouldn't be any time FOR a bet.

😉 kidding. I love the shock effect.
