i know this is a dumb question most likely, as im in the Myst of backing up my data as i doubt its going to work, but i figured i would ask if anyone knew this. what i have is a asus p5ld2 deluxe motherboard and i have a a couple of hard drives set up in a raid configuration. im getting a P5WD2-E Premium and they both use the same ich7r chip (or so i think) so if i set the new motherboard up the same in the bios as raid and put the connect up my 2 hard drives my question is will my data all still be there?

Usually (*) you have to enable RAID at the BIOS level for the ports, but not define the RAID array. Defining the array might wipe the existing array and create a new one. You want the one that's already there to be auto-recognized.

(*) That's how this works with nVIDIA, I'm not sure about the details for Intel. And it wouldn't hurt to keep the ports/drives ordered the same.
