The Soviet Union was on its way down to Japan around the time the states dropped the bomb on Hiroshima. That's to say that we still would have been involved, but not as much as what actually happened. But Russia would have been very much involved.

I think we all know how seriously Russia took war around this time. I think we would have seen a greater Soviet Union.

and a totally pwned up japan that wouldn't be anywhere as prosperous/influencial it is today.

What many do not know is that the Russians poising themselves to invade Japan from the north was one of the reasons the atomic bombs were dropped. The US government did not want Russia meddling with post-war Japan and thus had to end the war quickly and decisively. They were also dropped as a warning so to speak to Russia about the might of the US and it's willingness to use such weapons. It may have started the Cold War, but it also determined the outcome.
