If it's too easy to cheat, the Democrats may win.

Sounds like it was what the Republican party official was saying.

You'll have to either wait for 17:25 to come around, or click straight to it.

One good thing is this shows that Republicans trying to fuck with the voting system might not actually be racist, merely a sneaky underhanded tool to win elections.

Let's face it. Every election it gets harder and harder to win.

Without:
  • Voter suppression excuse me ID Laws
  • Gerrymandering
  • Rural State Bonuses
  • Email hacks
  • Leaks
  • Decades of slander
How do you expect to win as a republican?

Come on, most non-tards have known for a while voter fraud doesn't exist in meaningful enough numbers to change even one close federal election we've had recently.

Yeah, and with unified GOP control of all 3 branches of government, I expect that they will greatly restrict voting for 2018 and 2020.

Democrats are screwed.

Here in Oregon you can register to vote on line. Everyone in the state gets their ballot in the mail and has a few weeks to carefully go over it and then return it by mail or in place it in one of the boxes placed several places in town, like this one. No waiting for hours in line, don't need a drivers license or other ID, don't need to take time off from work. Boxes are left out for weeks, not just one day. We have no problem with illegal voting. This is for local, State and National elections, presidential elections too.

It means that voter registration drives need to start now by helping poor, disadvantaged, elderly, and minority voters get their birth certificates, social security cards, and state IDs. So five months before election when repub state legislators purge the voter rolls and require 3 forms of ID to register the citizenry will be ready.

Minorities and liberals are going to have to be willing to wait in long lines as early voting will be curtailed in key areas.

You can read about it here:

http://sos.oregon.gov/voting/Pages/2016-general-election-faq.aspx

I'll get you started.
There are many safeguards built into our voting system. Our elections are run at the county level by local officials and election workers. Oregon’s 36 counties use different machines for counting and verifying ballots, none of which are connected to the internet. Election workers work in teams made up of local citizens with different party registrations at all stages of the process.

Superior ideas that benefit the common man?

Wait. I see your point..

Yeah...because it's for damned sure...the Republican party doesn't give a shit about "the common man," unless somehow, the meaning of "common" has been changed to "multi-millionaire big business owner."

There is very little, to no voter fraud in the US. Voter fraud is just an excuse used by the Republicans to deny voting rights to the poor and minorities who tend to vote Democratic. That's the true voter fraud in this country.

An update: the bill passed the Wyoming GOP dominated Senate easily-something like 35-13. Still has to go through the House, also GOP dominated (Wyoming a very red state). It's heartening to see a bunch of GOP politicians reject such a naked effort to jigger election laws for partisan purpose. Of course a pessimist would say they valued the dollars saved more and figured the chances of them losing this federal House seat are slim. Still, it is nice to see honorable GOP pols in action.

There are convictions for voter fraud almost every election cycle, saying "to no voter fraud in the US. " is disingenuous at best. In some elections the outcome is a single vote, sometimes decided by a coin flip. In those cases a single incident of voter fraud may change the outcome of an election. Why is it that Democrats with their long history of voter fraud are so opposed to the simplest forms of identity and vote security.
