What would the emo of today be of yesterday? Grunge? I don't see them as being goths 'cause goths still exist today, don't see them as punks because of the same thing and the only real punks were in the 80s, can't think of anything else. God I just realized how much I hate emo, where did this emo thing spawn from anyways? It was only like a year ago when I was spared of hearing about this emo garbage. Right? didn't this emo crap start around 6 months ago? 9months?

No, a quick search reveals posts mentioning emo in 2001, and it's probably been around longer than that.
