I’m looking build i5-3550 / GIGABYTE GA-Z77N-WIFI / 8 GB memory / Win 7 Pro HTPC
If Intel HD2500 will be ok to stream XBMC 1080p with no problems to my 65 inch TV?
Or I will need HD4000???

Thx.

That will be fine. I have an older i5 which has HD2000 graphics and I haven't had any issues yet with any 1080p content I've thrown at it.

I'm using MC7 but I doubt it really matters.

I use an i3 2100 (HD2000) each and every day. Use a G620 in the bedroom.

If your buying new then how about the i3-3225 with hd4000? Lower cost plus better graphics. Just a thought

If you are not doing an external GPU why not go trinity? Has better blu-ray PQ and sound support than intel. Looks like this will be an HTPC only build no?

Size of the TV does not matter, it takes the same amount of processing power to output a 1080p signal to a 65 inch TV as to a 35 inch.

For the record I has a G620 that outputs 1080p to my 55 inch TV with no problems.

Not for 1080p as intel, nvidia and amd/ati are exactly the same. This is debated about once a month over at avs.

I have already Intel i5-3550 from my VCP Lab, done with VCP5
And now I could have HTPC..
i3-3225 – will be best solution if I have no Intel i5-3550.
AMD – running way too high temp and taking more pw.
