If i were to buy an SD500

I'm thinking of buying an SD500 in the future. Currently, i have an S410. I know that speed of media really doesn't matter for the S410, but if i were to get a higher speed media for the SD500 (like the sandisk Ultra), would it matter (in terms of time it takes to take pictures, picture/movie access times, etc)?

Also, for you that have sd500's do you like this camera...if there is anything that you don't like, what is it?

I've heard that you can capture longer vids with faster cards but I've found that my SD400 captures well over 2 minutes without a problem (haven't tried longer)... I don't think it matters much. Even in burst mode where it snaps picture after picture my standard SD card had no problems keeping up.

Somewhat.

While you don't have to get the Ultra III, a decent card rated at 16x is necessary to take 640x480 video. Even if you aren't taking video, it does make sense that the camera to card interface will support that speed, or maybe a bit more.

I bought a Kingmax 60x card for my SD300, overkill but there wasn't too many that were cheaper yet had good write speeds.
