I mean, I got tons of people in my phone contacts. I get calls and texts all the time. I have a pretty new car. I can often be seen driving other people's better cars, that I get paid money for.

I'm not super-awkward in social situations. I can talk to women. I'm told I'm somewhere between 'handsome' and 'not repugnant.'

I dunno where I'm going with this. Just amazed at how we change. And priorities change. I have all the stuff I would've wanted in high school. Things that would make me a 'cool kid.' At this much later point in time, they are worthless. I have nothing.

Ambien is a hell of a drug sometimes. I guess I'm posting here to avoid sending out random nonsensical texts.

And no, no drug thread here, just mentioning that I have taken it as prescribed for a legit issue and I....am a wee lit boopy. Mmm-bop.

Pretty pathetic.

Having tons of contacts and getting texts/calls all the time sounds horrible. One of the reasons I don't text/IM or give out my # (only to special few) is because I don't want people to be able to contact me on the whim. I'm not on stand by and if they care enough they will call me (but I like to be left alone)....heck I hardly pick up my home phone.

Less is more. ;)

How many of these contacts are your TRUE friends? How many great relationships have you had? (assuming you are into this sort of thing).

The "secret" is the social skills - and learning to communicate.

I was no studmuffin in HS or College, but looking back, there were definitely more than a few girls of the nice-personality-and-not-too-shabby-looking variety that I completely missed the boat on, because I was a fucking moron.

this--the basic secret is that at high school age, everyone is confused/curious/ a bit shy, etc...and also horny as all hell.

The fortunate thing is that since just about everyone is going through the same thing, it keeps the pandemonium in check...to a degree. putting a theoretical middle-aged mind with comparative experiences in the body of a teenager, in that setting, for any gender...would be chaos. :D

I am the opposite. If I were back in high school, I would stay the heck away from the girls. Girls in high school are a waste of time. I gained pretty much nothing out of dating them. I didn't REALLY learn anything about women till after college, and I think that is when I REALLY started to enjoy women.

I think I would definitely focus more on classes and athletics.

i wish i fucked girls in high school, but it doesn't bother me today because all the people i knew that were having sex back then have kids today. i dont want kids right now, and im very thankful i dont no matter how many days ive spent alone because of it.

now im 30, and i date 27 yo's without kids.. it is SOOO sexy fucking a real woman that hasnt ruined her body yet LOL.
