If I wanted to chop up an mp3 to grab a clip...

I want to grab a little chunk of sound out of an mp3 file to make a little forum doodad/linky thing.
What app can I use to do that? I've never worked with sound files, but it can't be half as tough as phot and video files, I'm thinkin.

welllll the easiest solutioon (without having to dl anything besides winamp) is to convert mp3 to wav, chop it up in windows sound recorder, and then convert back


i'm sure there are other tools that don't require converting and probably allow you to specify time, but that is the quickest way

LinkyI use an older version of this product and it works very well. I use it to adjust the volume on my MP3s and clean up older recordings that has unwanted noise and such.
