If I use two ports on a firewire PCMCIA card, will I get 2X speed?

I have a firewire PCMCIA card. I also have two external drives. If I plug them into both ports, will they both operate at 400mbps simulatneously? Or is it 400/firewire card, making it 200mbps/port on simultaneous operation?
