If I ship Bush a crate of pretzels, will he eat them?

what was plan a?

Relying on Americans to consider more things that gays fscking each other?

That wasn't even a very big issue in this election.

I think it helped Bush swing a lot of Latino voters in Florida over to his side.

please don't assasinate Bush. Despite how bad he is, Dick as president will be the end of the human race as we know it.

You're joking, right?

Same-sex marriage bans were on the ballot in 11 states. The President's outspoken desire to pass a Constitutional amendment banning marriage wasn't a big issue?

I shudder at that prospect

yeah, but he said he would respect peoples right to have them....

Man, you can't take a loss gracefully. My friend, who threatened to moved to France if Bush won, has already started looking for a place to live. I really didn't think she was serious.

It was one example of a social issue that targeted supporters that in no way benefit from Bush's economic policies. Those lower middle-class families in the midwest voted for Bush over Kerry simply because of values and not because they benefit from his policies.

I am an upper-middle class white male in Texas, white males voted nearly 3-1 in favor of Bush over Kerry in this state. Texas has a great deal of personal wealth; although i do not support Bush, I can see why he has the support of people like my dad and those living in suburban houston and dallas, with their $400K homes and solid six figure income. What I do not understand is why those that have nothing to gain from Bush's policies saw social issues as far more relevant than foreign policies and domestic issues. Just about every exit poll saw bush as weaker on the economy than Kerry would have been and yet, people in Ohio - who are PREDOMINATELY lower-middle class, blue collars with a lower college degree rate than most of the surrounding states - supported Bush.
