If I redo my computer

I want to wipe out my entire computer and reinstall windows Xp Home on my laptop again. The only question I have is it going to mess up internet if I have a wireless card?

Any help would be appreciated Thanks

Just make sure you have your wireless card drivers on a cd or floppy disk.

Good luck and welcome to the forum.

The internet???? They have that on laptops now?? Wow.. J/k

Just make sure you have the drivers that came with your card....and if you're not using a restore disk you might want to download the drivers for your laptop before you reinstall your OS.

On another note....If you don't have a Windows SP2 disk I highly recommend downloading the full Windows SP2 so it can be installed before connecting to the internet....AND make sure while you're installing Windows you aren't connected to a network cable or that your wireless card isn't inserted...(The last few machines I've built I made the mistake of leaving the network cable plugged in and I ended up with worms real bad...pin worms, hook worms and more 🙂...but seriously it was a royal pain in the A)

don't do it. If you do, the entire internet will disappear.....for everyone.......ohhhooohhh.

I also believe the boogyman is right behind you.

If you have broadband, and you had to install the crap software the first time to set up your account. If this is what you are worried about, don't. Your account is still with your ISP. In fact, you don't even have to install that crappy software this time around.

Oh, and watch out for those darn leprechauns....
