If I miss my last meal of the day, is it better to go to bed on an empty stomache, or eat a little bit of something?

actually, the mere act of NOT eating after 7 pm, over time can lose a lot of weight. even if you don't exercise. but i eat late all the time. just eat fast so you can get to bed quicker. ha ha

you should eat when you're hungry. however, better planning is needed so you don't eat that close to your bedtime. i usually drink a protein shake roughly an hour before i sleep

Time it so you're starving while you sleep and can't feel it. The stuff about not eating after a certain hour is overblown, but it also makes no sense to go to bed stuffed to the gills, when you're on limited calories and are dealing with hunger throughout the day.

If hunger is keeping you from falling asleep, eat a little protein and fiber, maybe an hour before bed. I'm talking about a slow-digesting light snack, say 200 or less calories.

Have a glass of cold milk. Not only does it keep your stomach quiet for a while, but it also has tryptophan to help make you sleepier.
Hopefully, you'll be asleep before the hunger nags.
