So you have unfettered access to stem cells? I'd imagine you also buy/sell kidneys and other body parts? :hmm:

The answer is yes.

I'm a doctor on the Internet, so I'm more than qualified. In addition, you've come to the right place for this most idiotic question.

Bill is in the mail.

The stem cells will work, but only if you protect them from post-injection exposure to the Internet for an extended period of time. I would say two years to be on the safe side, but you might want to consult wikipedia.

Sometimes I wish we could vote for the dumbest post award once a month and do this to their account:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stem_cell_transplantation_for_articular_cartilage_repair

My bro is doing this for his knee. The Dr took the cells out of his hip....ouch. Experimental so insurance doesn't pay, $4K per shot (he's got it like that). Don't really know the regimen because I stopped listening after he told me the cost. He claims he has positive results but I would too after $4K.:p Guess it could work on muscle.

Mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) are pluripotent cells found in multiple human adult tissues including bone marrow, synovial tissues, and adipose tissues. Since they are derived from the mesoderm, they have been shown to differentiate into bone, cartilage, muscle, and adipose tissue.[1] MSCs from embryonic sources have shown promise scientifically while creating significant controversy. As a result, many researchers have focused on adult stem cells [1], or stem cells isolated from adult humans that can be transplanted into damaged tissue.

OP and Anarchist420 should share a padded cell together. We can film it and make a nice little sitcom out of it.

Pretty much what my dad had for his bone-marrow transplant. They stuck a giant needle in his hip to harvest stem cells, screened them for healthy ones, saved them, and then blasted his body with chemo to kill the cancer. Then they re-introduced the harvested stem cells to regenerate his blood system.

You would get horrible tumors. Stem cells need to be properly differentiated to be used as a safe cell therapy.

Hopefully this will become more common...and cheaper. I'd really like a refurbed knee.
