If I have a sleep study done and something is wrong will it count as a pre-existing condition if my health insurance lapses a few months after for a year or so?

Pre existing condition refers to having been treated for that condition. Not that it actually existed.

A sleep study is more of an evaluation of your sleeping habits.

Worse case is they may detect a small chemical imbalance that can easily be corrected via proper nutrition.
