If I had a V2-SLI setup in my rig (the one in my sig), primarily for playing GLide games (like Unreal Tournament, Counter-Strike, Q1/2/3, etc.) would it do better than my overclocked Radeon LE? I might buy one of those Obsidian X-24 things for that purpose...

No, it wouldn't. Keep Radeon LE.

Prolly not. Q1/2/3 use OpenGL, not Glide AFAIK. And losing 2 PCI slots isn't my idea of a great upgrade.

It would be for Glide based games. I still keep my SLI installed for just this purpose. Even comes in handy for some older D3D games that was never patched properly for the newer generation of cards. As far as losing a PCI slot, well were you using that empty slot to begin with? If not, then go ahead and keep the V2 in it until you do. It wouldn't do any harm. Doesn't even take up an IRQ.
