If i got a 15" LCD touchscreen monitor, would WinXP/Win2K detect it?

Like could i just "touch" the start button and it would pop up? or is there extra 'touchscreen' montior drivers, or some sorta special software to make it work as a true mouse click for either win2k or winxp?

this would be for inside a vehicle.

alot of times they have a usb or ps/2 connection that gets detected as a mouse.

It depends on the product. I would imagine that most touch-lcd's would have some kind of driver, and probably most will support Win2k/XP, but you shoul dread the specs for that particular product.
