What's the simplest, hassle-free way to print pictures?

I'd imagine taking it to a nearest Kodak kiosk of sort. If online is much better, what do you recommend that's quality and easy to use?

Get an easyshare dock - just dock the camera and select the pic(s) you want to print and you're done. It's not the cheapest solution, but it's one of the easiest.

Any point and shoot sub $200 would do. You DO have to spend about 5 minutes of your time explaining to them how to select the different auto settings, how to put the battery in, how to turn the flash off and how to work the shutter properly. That's about it really, Sony should be a good choice, or Canon, Olympus...

If they were able to develop film from a film camera, it shouldn;t be hard for them to take the memory card to the store and get pictures out of it in a similar way.

Get any digicam within your budget (I like the Canon PowerShot A590IS), teach them how to insert and eject the flash media. As long as they know how to do that, they can bring the flash media to any kodak kiosk to print out any photo they want.

I work at a photo lab and I've worked with pretty much every level of tech-savviness. If an 80-year-old woman can do it, surely your parents can, too. This is, of course, assuming that the place you go to get pictures printed has outstanding customer service.

EDIT: Just tell them to bring the camera in and we'll do the rest to get them started.

Walmart prints suck a lot of big donkey balls if you're looking for quality. They're only good if you don't care how shitty your prints look like. :)

Don't do it! Cheap disposables do the same thing, but you dont have to teach them anything.

Seriously, you are not making their lives any better.

Why not just put your nut sack in a meat grinder, it'll be less painful than teaching the elderly anything to do with electronics.

The Canons are great for young people..Kodaks are a baby boomer favorite. I can't remember what I got my parents several years ago...it was highly rated as a P&S...and proved to take excellent pics. The LCD is a little small now and the speed between frames slow by today's standards.

Got my mom a digital camera and hp photosmart, that always worked fine for her. Keep in mind, she's had her camera for 3 years now and only just now figured out how to put pictures on the computer (she bought new memory cards like film up till now), so she fits the "computer illiterate" category.

walmart... walgreens... costco ...most any place with film developing has digital printing now. just upload to the website and in a few hours go pick it up. or go to their kiosk with the flash card.
its much cheaper than using an inkjet with its ridiculous ink/paper costs. and the quality is consistent.

If there's a Costco nearby then I would go with that. Quality is good and pricing is VERY cheap.

get them a panasonic fx33. all you have to do is set the file size and leave it on intelligent auto mode, the camera will do everything else for you.

as far as printing goes, u have to explain it to them. theres no way around it :p
