I use turbo tax to e-file. Now it's telling me to sign and date form 8453-OL and mail it to complete the process. I thought everything is done electronically...so I don't know.....do I mail it out? Also...it's saying that don't mail a printed copy of my return to them...I am confused.

That is a signature page right? If it is, I think you have to do it, but it will only ask for it the first time you file online.

The IRS requires that you sign your form. If you file electronically, you have a choice of either inputting a certain number from your previous year's form (which no one else would know) as a substitute for signing it, or if you can't do that you have to mail in 8453-OL.

Print out the 8453-OL, fill in the information it requests, sign it, and mail it in to the address you were given. Do not send a copy of your entire tax return.
