Straight up, as soon as she installed the software or signed any agreement, it says in your TOS that there is NOT GURANTEE of service.
Too bad poeple dont understand that opening even the shrik wrap on a piece of software it means you agree to the service contract.

So you work for like customer care?

I do LAN support for DSL connections. Pretty straightforward stuff, Cisco 67x to a hub, setup DHCP, etc, etc, etc.

What really pissed her off was when I told her she'd reached the wrong department before she even told me what her problem was. "Oh REALLY?"

Sometimes techs call us up at provisioning with the customers on the line. And its great, you get to hear them explain how much they NEED service, and how MUCH money they are losing everyday its not working.
Cracks me up, if you run a business, you would be smart enough to look at a more reliable and guaranteed broadband connection.
So I take their redback info, and toss it to the bottom of the pile.
