If I do a Raid 0 config. can I still had another hd on the IDE connector?

Just wondering if I can still have a backup drive connected to the IDE connector.

I assume you mean the other 2 'non raid' IDE channels? Yes.

my software raid controller allows secondary devices on the channels. some controllers do not.

i have 3 HDDs on my raid controller. 2 are in raid0, the third is its own array ( single drive normal)...
