will my friends still get that "seen" notification below their messages..?

I'm sick of fb invading my privacy by telling my friends when i've read their messages. So i'm thinking of setting up TB to chat on FB.. will this be able to bypass the message seen feature of facebook..?

Thanks

Don't know, but privacy and facebook are mutually exclusive. It's impossible to setup facebook so it's private. You can have the illusion of privacy, but it's just an illusion. I suggest using a different platform for communication. Simple IM would be a better, or setup your own server for a full social platform.

hey man i saw your "remove yourself from facebook" thread. I'm not talking about that hardcore type of privacy. I just want to know if there's a way around that "messgae seen" thingy.

One way to avoid the "seen" thing is to just turn off chat and not read the message (or you can just read the first few words of it by clicking on the mail icon at the top but not the actual message and it won't say "seen").

Another thing I noticed is that any profile that has the new design can see when you're online, even if you have the chat turned off (you show up with a green circle on the left menu), so the only way to get your notifications without being "seen" would be to not log in at all and just keep your email client open instead (i.e. hotmail/outlook)... I think.
