Right now I'm running a 7600GT in an Asus A8V-E Deluxe board. Can I swap out my 19 in lcd for a 22 or 24 with no other changes? Advice appreciated.

The 7600GT can easily run a 22 or 24 inch monitor at native resolution. Text will be fine; just don't expect games to run well at those resolutions (well maybe some games on the 22 would be ok).

For gaming, you might want a more powerful card to run games at native resolution; for normal text and web based uses, it shouldn't matter.

They'll look fine, but because of the higher resolution and the fact that DVDs are 480 pixels vertically, it won't look as good as an HD video on the monitor.

If you're referring to whether you need a video card that supports "dual link DVI" then no. I believe you'll need a 30" LCD monitor or higher before you need the extra bandwidth that dual link DVI brings.

Single link DVI can support up to 1920x1200 resolution, which is the standard resolution of 24/26/27" LCDs.
