Unless they send back the exact same console, probably not. They aren't even making the boards with backward compatibility anymore.

I sent in my 60GB model last month because the Blu-Ray drive died, they repaired and sent back the exact same console (I wrote down the serial number before I sent it off)

My friend did the same thing back in November. Got the same console, and all his data was still on his hard drive when he got it back.

As far as I know they will replace your 60GB with a 60GB if they can't repair it. That's what customer service told my friend when he sent his in.

Same thing happened to me. And customer service said I should get a 60gb model back. I'll find out monday when it arrives.

Yes they will send back either the exact same console or a Replacement that's the same model.

I bought mine with two controllers, Uncharted, GTA4 (sealed), Resistance, COD4, and NCAA 08 for $450 earlier this year, so it's not a "too good to be true" price.
