if humans never evolved...

evolution = myth

but if humans didn't exist, some critter of some sort would be dominant - it wouldn't really matter to us tho since we wouldn't exist anyway 😉

Giant blue and white iguanas that eat FX60's that careless DHL delivery people leave on the front porch.

I would think that the evolution of humans has been going on constantly right under our noses. Think about it. As a result of our superior minds, we have invented technology. This technology reduces the necessity to possess physical superiority. As a result of this, humans have become physically weaker than their ancestors, but mentally superior. Because there is no longer a need for a human to be strong or physically adept, natural selection is improving mental power while slacking in the physical department.

Plant people, walking trees who eat steel bars and fight uppity walking beluga whales who shoot caviar from their reproductive organs to blind and disgust their opponents. Plus they'd have badass cities made from vines and play games like Throw the Boulder at the Ground (TM).

I think that's foolish to say. Yes, the average person might be weaker because they'd simply die off way back when - but the most physically fit vs. ancient man's most physically fit I'd say no question that it is modern man - we've used our brains to perfect our bodies...

who says we are the dominant species? we're far more susceptible to extinction than countless other species.

If we really wanted to, we could whipe all other species out - no other species on Earth could do such a thing at will.

Mockingbirds. Those suckers'll stand up to any creature on Earth.

I've seen them attack other birds (including vultures and hawks), dogs, people, and a freaking bobcat.

I would think that the average cave man would be stronger than the average modern man. You cannot compare today's pinnacle of physical capability to a cave man's, as the best athletes today are that way as a result of using the more advanced brain to become that physically capable; they were not born that way. Today's high end athletes became physically fit and adept due to possessing the knowledge of how to achieve it. Because we have used our brains to perfect our bodies, it shows that evolution in humans favors the mind. However we use the mind is not the point. It is the fact that we are born with much more cognitive potential than our ancestors. This continues to this day. Has there ever been a man in history with the IQ of Dr. Steven Hawking?
