Lets just say Nvidia came out with the N-card and ATI came out with the A-card, excuse the names.
These cards are 100% equal in price and performance, meaning this is bases completely on name, who would you choose?

Other factors like heat output, fan noise, etc are the same also?

I'd probably just flip a coin or pick whichever looks the coolest.

ATI without a doubt, almost everyon I've gamed with (friends and several clans) the majority of them alwyas had better luck with ATI (myself included). nvidia always seemed to have flakey drivers and for a while you had to change drivers just depending on which game you are playing.

ATI has always given my top notch products (when going through 3rd parties I choose quality partners IE Asus) and the few times I've needed tech help I called ATI themselves and had top notch tech help and knowledge. I fail to see how the ATI site is hard to navigate... hell usually you can enter thier main page and click on the current drivers without having to look.

ATI forever, Nvidia can sit in the trash

nVidia, cause i like being able to switch cards without having to reinstal the drivers (and also cause i own a few nvidia cards).
I guess i never really used ati cards much, and the only time i used their card i was really ennoyed with their drivers. Was a pain getting them to work.

ATI. I've always had good luck with their cards, albeit there have some software glitches along the way... my nVidia experience hasn't been 100% either tho.

Can't forget the Canadian ties either. :)
