What is the Android phone I should be buying? I'll be needing to run some Android apps.

I like:
- Latest hardware features & most RAM
- Nice design would be nice. I liked the Droid's styling for example
- Should really have 2.2 at that time I guess
- 32Gb total capacity, SPEEDY (as fast as the iPhone 4 / Nokia N900 in addressing Flash and/or card RAM - if card, would appreciate recommendations)
- Looking for same price as 32Gb SIM-free iPhone or less (e.g. £600 in UK)
- Doesn't run down at the drop of a hat while being used usefully (e.g. N900 is guilty of this)

Ummmm, that's it?

I'd be looking strongly at the Desire Z and Desire HD myself. I want a Desire HD, but the lack of US 3G bands kinda rules it out. :(

I wouldn't be surprised if something great dropped at the end of that two months, but right now I'd get the Galaxy S or Desire HD.

Oh I dunno, posts like that makes easily pressed buttons visible :sneaky:

The Desire HD is high on my radar, but the lack of built-in memory is, in terms of perception to me at least, a problem - in that cards (or rather, maybe the card-writing electronics) don't seem to be anywhere near as fast as the likes of the phones I mentioned, and if I'm actually going to usefully address 32Gb I'd like it to be at least as fast as those.

Anyone know how fast the current Desire transfers to a 32gb card?
